Gerber Tootie Fruity Baby Food

Asian Dub Foundation - A history of now (2.011)

barely a year has passed since the release of their eponymous debut album a torrential collection of songs in which showed his intentions in a dark alley convoluted pop, refined and equally twisted as the manner of a psychopath of the novel. Has a certain logic that a group with the participation of Simon Tong (The Verve, Blur and The Good, The Bad & The Queen) and David Nock, contributor to The Orb and The Cult and a member of the Firemen of Paul McCartney, find a sound away from the English common denominator. Leading the project, Gawain Erland Cooper, able to sing about the deepest despair with a mocking air and spooky. Obsessed with the macabre, the cover photo documents an alleged case of Poltergeist occurred in north London in the late seventies-Erland & The Carnival is both an experiment about the British folk and the gothic novel, as a group pop with an unusual charm, able to attract you to a dark area in which, far from tokenism, every second is a surprise. That the name of Ghost, good old Ryan looks simple, acoustic pop, worthy to be played in open spaces and be heard in intimate and closed sites. Repetitive melodies, accompanied with a slight percussion, with his guitar and his soft voice, Ryan takes us into the melancholy and nostalgia in Songs Out Here.

Throughout the disc we find a linear series of songs, without any particular highlights, but which together own light shine. Songs Out Here you have to listen over, lying in bed and leaving the quiet empower it conveys. A sweet and simple album after listening to get you out a smile on the face.
